The shooting of a key action sequence featuring Priyanka Chopra and Ramcharan Teja for Apoorva Lakhia’s Zanjeer came to a grinding halt in Madh Island on Saturday night when the crew had a swarm of unexpected visitors.
They were none other than the Andhra fishermen fans of Ramcharan Teja who got to know that he was shooting in the vicinity.
Says a member of the Zanjeer crew, “It was pretty crazy. We don’t know how the news spread. But within no time at all word spread that Ramcharan was shooting. We saw hordes of men running towards our location. It was all a bit scary. Only later we came to know they were Andhra fishermen, diehard fans of our hero.”
Says the on-location eyewitness, “They were just not interested in anything or anyone except Ram. The funny thing was they weren’t shouting his name. They were shouting his Telugu films’ titles.”
Confirming the encounter with fishy fans Ramcharan Teja said, “It was quite an eventful encounter with my fans for sure. Luckily they were very well behaved.”
