According to actor Suniel Shetty, if Indian football needs to be sexy and get the youngsters interested, then it needs Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif to be its representative. Suniel was at a national football conference and he was just trying to exert importance of getting celebrities on board to represent football in India, an initiative more likely to reach out to the younger generation. In his exact words, "If we are talking about making football sexy, we will have to talk to Deepika and Katrina."
He tried to get his point across furthermore by talking about David Beckham and how his presence has made an impact on soccer in the United States.
