John Abraham's superhit debut production Vicky Donor, released last year, was lauded by the critics and audience. The film recently picked up four National Awards and now John hopes his performance in Shootout At Wadala will be recognised by the National Awards' jury next year. John will be portraying the role of real life underworld gangster, Manya Surve, in Shootout at Wadala.
"This is one of the best performances of my career. I hope to get the appreciation - critically and commercially, and if I get the National Award, then that will be great," John said.
"Right now we are just thinking about success and performance, so let's hope for the best," he added.
The actor furthermore said, "For me, Shootout At Wadala is a completely different film. Audiences are going to be shocked seeing me in this film, in this role. I am very excited and would like to say to the audiences that 'I hope I don't disappoint you all and I hope that you will enjoy the film'."
