Sabyasachi Mukherjee is a household name now, not only in India, but worldwide. The designers classic sarees and outfits are very much a rage in Bollywood. Starting in 1999, this Kolata born designer began showcasing his beautiful creations. He has also forayed into Bollywood and designed costumes for Black, Baabul, Laga Chunari Mein Daag, Guzaarish and Raavan.
Sabyasachis trademark styles are very much influenced by his home town of Kolkata, and he describes his work as "International with an Indian soul"

Of course, many celebrities ranging from Vidya Balan, Aishwarya Rai, Kangana Ranaut and Kajol are often seen sporting his beautiful designs. "I very carefully plug my sensibilities into the important films of the year, because at the end of the day, somebody who has made me a super brand in mass India is Rani Mukherjee. I am still regarded as Rani Mukherjee’s tailor. Every wedding that I go to, I am perceived of as famous because I have something to do with Rani."

Also, one of the reasons Rani and Vidya have connected me to mass India is because they are identifiable actresses.
