The highly exciting Indian Premiere League is all set to start on April 2, 2013. Shahrukh Khan, owner of Kolkata Knight Riders will be performing at the opening ceremony. SRK's team won the series last year and the badshah is hoping to keep the cup this year too.
SRK is apparently thrilled to be performing at the opening night set to happen in Kolkata at the Salt lake Stadium. To add to the excitement, Katrina Kaif will also be performing at the ceremony. Not only that, International rapper Pitbull is also expected to perform at the opening ceremony. He is very well known for his albums M.I.M.A.I., Armando and Planet Pit.
The IPL teams are as follows: Delhi Daredevils, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors India, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals. The first match of the tournament will be between Kolkata Knight Riders and the Delhi Daredevils at the Eden Gardens.
Over the next seven weeks, the teams will battle it out in the 76 matches. The final match will be held on the 26th of May, and that will mark the end of the IPL season.
