Govinda may be best known for his roles in comedy films but the actor will be seen playing a very different kind of role in YRF's upcoming film, Kill Dil. The film will be directed by Shaad Ali who last directed the 2007 film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom. Kill Dil will also feature Ranveer Singh, Parineeti Chopra and Ali Zafar.
Govinda said, "It has been 29 years in the industry and this film will release next year as I complete 30 years. It is more of a realistic character than a totally negative role. In today’s world, we see all kinds of people who have grey shades. However, one can’t compare this film to Shikari, as that was a tragic film while this is not."
A YRF spokesperson confirmed the news and said , "Yes, Govinda is doing a pivotal role in the film.”
