In an interview to Times Of India, Juhi opens up on her equation with her old co-stars and chats about her upcoming project, 'Gulab Gang'. This is a first of a kind for Juhi, where she will be seen portraying a negative character.
Talking about old times and the wonderful opportunities that she missed, Juhi says, "When you are flying too high, many a times, you let your ego take the decisions. In my case, I ended up making Karisma Kapoor a star in the process (laughs). I was the first choice for Raja Hindustani. Also, she went on to do Dil To Pagal Hai, which was offered to me first"
On her equation with Madhuri Dixit, she says that while Madhuri is the hero of their movie 'Gulab Gang', she is the villain. She says, "I learnt that they wanted me to play a negative role. Madhuri is the hero and I am the villain. We tried to modify few lines for the role, which wasn't written with me in mind, but realized the changes would take away the punch. So we went ahead with it in its original form." When asked about the relationship between these two powerhouse actresses she says smilingly, "Now, it is nice"
When asked about the Being Human star Salman Khan, she says, "Sometimes Salman will be nice but sometimes I can't fathom what is going on in his head." Well, this is a new perspective of Salman heard from any of his costars.
Lastly, she also adds that though she was sad about her brother being replaced from SRK's company 'Red Chillies', it was not because she was not informed by SRK. She says that it just struck her that the job her brother did so efficiently for the longest time, would now be done by someone else.
Well, here is an emotional and more open than ever - Juhi, for you. While she takes on the challenge of portraying the baddie in Gulab Gang, she is still the very loving mom at home teaching her kids Hindi and Mathematics.
