Team Kai Po Che! kick started the movie promotions in Gujarat where they flew kites as part of the Lohri/Makar Sankaranti festival. Co-incidentally Kai Po Che! means "I have cut your kite" in Gujarati.
Kai Po Che! is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel The 3 Mistakes of My Life directed by Abhishek Kapoor, with music by Amit Trivedi and lyrics by Swanand Kirkire. Sushant Singh Rajput, Raj Kumar Yadav and Amit Sadh star as Ishaan, Govind and Omi respectively.
