It has been revealed that Jiah had tried to attempt suicide by slitting her wrist 8 months ago while under the influence of alcohol. Her mother Rabiya Amin and sisters were found inconsolable at her funeral.

Jiah Khan committed suicide on June 3 by hanging at her Juhu home. Her body was discovered be her mother few minutes after she passed away. She was laid to rest at Santa Cruz graveyard in Mumbai.
