After the success of Aashiqui 2, T-Series, headed by Bhushan Kumar announces their slate of upcoming films. Bhushan Kumar says, “Prior to Nautanki Saala and Aashiqui 2, we made one film in two years or so. But with a strong sense of music, good scripts in hand, with a dedicated in-house team we now plan to make 6-7 mixed budget films a year.”
T-Series are producing ‘Bhoothnath 2’ to release on 11th April next year with Amitabh Bachchan reviving his role as the friendly ghost.
T-Series will also release on 20th June next year, a romantic-action-drama with Ranbir Kapoor playing the title role of ‘Roy’ along with Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez.
Yet another film from T-Series banner to release on 11th July is a social drama with dash of humor that speaks about a father-son relationship. This has Abhishek Bachchan in the lead and Rishi Kapoor as his father.
Bhushan adds, “We wish to give our audience varied genre films that will be accepted by the masses. Right from family relations to friendships, from sc-fi to action drama we want our audience to enjoy different sort of films. All the movies produced by T-Series are mixed budgets. With movies like Yaariyan and Creature already on floors, Umesh Shukla’s untitled, Roy and Bhoothnath 2 will go on floors soon for the next year release.”
Along with the wide range of films already in production for 2014 release, T-Series also have films that are in scripting stage. T-Series has announced Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi with Vishesh Films starring Emraan Hashmi. The production house has also roped in directors for their future projects that are in scripting stage. One of the directors signed is Madhur Bhandarkar where the film will be an amalgamation of Madhur’s expertise and T-Series music experience. T-Series has also signed in Milan Luthria which will be a big budget film for the production house. Bhushan Kumar after their terrific teaming in Aashiqui 2 has yet again signed Mohit Suri for his next.
