Priyanka's shelved film getting released

Back in 2006, producer KC Bokadia made a film starring the strange pairing of Priyanka Chopra and Govinda called Pyaar Jhukta Nahin (now changed to Deewana Main Deewana). The film, which could very well be the remake of Mithun Chakraborty and Padmini Kolhpure starrer film of the same name, did not find any buyers and was shelved.

But now, the filmmakers is all set to re-release the film, and has even re-shot a few portions of the film, and added an item number with PeeCee (which she has apparently done free of cost), to bank on the actresses' now successful run at the Box Office.

Strangely enough, the lead actor Govinda has been completely left out of the proceedings. Not only was he not approached for the re-shoot, but we hear that the actor is not even aware of the January release.
Producer Bokadia told Times of India, "Yes it is true. His looks have changed so much since we began shooting, we thought it is best to reshoot a few portions with only Priyanka. She came and completed a few more scenes which we have included in the film."

A source close to the film said that now that Priyanka is a bigger and more successful star, the film will bank upon her stardom rather than Govinda's who comeback Partner was a success back in 2007, and none of his releases since then have managed to make a mark.
Insiders also claim it's because PeeCee wasn't too elated at the thought of shooting with Govinda again, and this is why Govinda has cut himself off from the film.

When the newspaper contacted Govinda, he said, "Whenever a lead actor's film is ready for release, he gets a call from the producer informing him about it. I have not got any call from Mr Bokadia so I don't know a thing about it." Bokadia claimed otherwise that he figured Govinda would get to know anyway.

Looks like the release has run into troubled waters once again.
