Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' Irks Religious Christain Group

After Kamal Hassan's 'Vishwaroopam' controversy, it's Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' that's come under religious scrutiny. A Christian group has alleged the acclaimed filmmaker of incorporating "insulting" reference of Jesus and the Bible and demands a number of scenes to be cut from the film. A protestant pastor, Rev Christhudoss, founder president of Indian Christian Democratic Party, lodged a complaint with the City Police Commissioner to press for the demand.

'Kadal' features Gautham and Thulasi Nair, and is the story of good vs. evil in a Christian social setting on a coastal hamlet.
