A movie is a filmmaker’s baby, and nobody likes it when it becomes the talk of the town (in a bad way). Since its inception there have been a lot of rumours and speculations about Karan Malhotra’s upcoming directorial venture. First the lead stars Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor walked out, then there was news that the movie has been shelved.
However, a few days back it was announced that Salman Khan will play the male lead in the movie, and the movie was back on track. Now that everything is going so well, Malhotra couldn’t take people calling the movie by the wrong spelling, and he tweeted, “It’s ‘Shhuddhi’.”
We wonder why the sudden change in the spelling now. Is it possible that the team might have set the name numerologically as the movie was suffering for quite some time?
Also the producer Karan Johar took to Twitter and posted, “Dharma productions will be making an official film announcement tomorrow... Please watch this space for more...”
Interesting, don’t you think. Just days after announcing the male lead Johar has posted something like this. We are hoping that this is about ‘Shhuddhi’, as it is the filmmaker’s most ambitious project, and he announces the female lead. We can’t wait to hear who Salman is paired up with.
As mentioned earlier Kareena, who was supposed to play the female lead in the movie, walked out of the project. In an interview when Malhotra was asked if they will go back to the actress, he said, “Shhuddhi has changed from what it started out to be. When changes happen, one needs to look at things afresh.”
Does that mean Kareena is out of the picture? Whatever it is we can’t wait to see who will star with Salman and also what is KJo’s big announcement.
