Sonu Nigam has made us dance, laugh and cry with his melodious voice. The singer feels that Indian music industry cannot grow till the time people listen to only Bollywood songs.
He is also upset that in India a singer or a composer is not given due credit for the success of a song.
In a recent interview, Sonu said that a movie takes away the credit for the success of a song instead of the singer, or the composer or the lyricist. He feels that while in the western countries people are excited to hear Justin Bieber or Miley Cyrus, in India the audience is dedicated to only Bollywood songs.
In the past, the singer has crooned songs like ‘Tumhi dekho na’ (from ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’), ‘Jaane nahin denge’ (from ‘3 Idiots’), ‘Mere haath mein’ (from ‘Fanaa’) and ‘Abhi mujhme kahin (from ‘Agneepath’).
Sonu has also sang a song for Parineeti Chopra, Aditya Roy Kapur-starrer ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’. Well, we can’t wait to hear him again.
