Priyanka Chopra brought the character of Mary Kom alive in the trailer of ‘Mary Kom’. She was praised and appreciated for her hard work. But the actress had to lose the weight that she gained for 'Mary Kom' to prepare for her next movie. She says she went on crash diet for her role in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
We reported earlier that the actress went under a strenuous regime to prepare for her character in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’.
During the trailer launch of ‘Mary Kom’, the ‘Exotic’ singer said that though she was not muscular but had acquired a bulked-up physique and had to be in shape as she is playing a very girly role in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’. She went on a crash diet to lose the weight.
‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ also features Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar, Anushka Sharma, Anil Kapoor and Shefali Shah. The movie is about a dysfunctional Punjabi family on a cruise trip.
The movie is scheduled to release June 5, 2015.
